Tour description: Crimea Mountains not only have sunny rockies but also canyons with deep majestic caves. This trip will lead us through three of the finest canyons of the Crimean peninsula. Situated on Northern slopes of Ai-Petri mountain (the plateau above Yalta) it is beautiful at any time of a season. Walls of the canyon are up to 300m, and the width at most narrow place is only 1,5m! This trip can either be an extreme adventure or a relaxing meditation; depending on the weather and you. We meet in Simferopol at the train station and take a bus to trail head. We will hike through the range each day carrying a load not exceeding 25 kilos. The camp sites are welcoming and feature natural springs for us to refill our bottles. By the end of our hiking, the majestic mountains will open up to the seaside where we will spend the last night. The seaside camping location will be not far from Yalta.
*Complexity- Usually we will have 4-5 days of mounting hiking and 1-2 days at the seaside. The mountain track has possibility to be quite difficult. The ascent would be in some cases about 200-400 meters. It is usually doable for everybody, though be aware there are uncontrollable circumstances such as weather, unmarked territories, river crossings, and obstacles such as fallen trees which might skew our itinerary.

11:00- Departure by bus to Alsu village near Sevastopol trail head
14:00- Lunch
17:00- Arrival at campsite (at the Chernaya river for overnight)
19:00- Dinner
Day 2
8:30- Breakfast
9:00- Start hike through the canyon Chernorechenskiy
14:00-Lunch
17:00- Arrival at campsite (Uzundhi for overnight)
19:00-Dinner
Day 3
8:30- Breakfast
9:00- Start hike canyon Uzundzhi, we will go up in the mountains
14:00- Lunch
17:00- Arrival at campsite (Barskaya Polyana for overnight)
19:00-Dinner
Day 4
8:30- Breakfast
9:00- Start hike through Grand canyon of Crimea
14:00- Lunch
17:00- Arrival at campsite (Bash dere for overnight

17:00- Prepare campsite for overnight at the seaside at Laspi bay

Transportation on tour: Meeting place will be in Simferopol at Central Train Station (near fountain area). Specific meeting place and time will be determined months prior to departure. Tickets should be purchased in advance to ensure prompt arrival on day 1. All participants are responsible for travel before and after the tour.
What to pack/prepare: Backpack, sleeping bag, carry mat, hiking shoes/sandals (advisable to have extra pair of shoes or sandals), flashlight (head lights are great), plastic or metal cup, soup plate, spoon. Desirable to have warm sweater and/or waterproof jacket. The backpack with food should not be heavier than 25 kg.
